In 1930, while South Korea is under occupation by Japan, Korean national Seo In-Yong (Ahn Jae-Mo) works for the Japanese government to wipe out the resistance movement. For his efforts, he is awarded a large mansion and land by the Emperor. Seo In-Yong has also become a target of the resistance movement. When Seo In-Yong moves his family to their new home, they become engulfed by vengeful spirits.
